About Me

My name is Jason Morris, age 30. I grew up in the Lakes Region and now live in Farmington, NH so I have always been on the White Mountains door step. My parents would bring us kids hiking from a very young age and my uncle brought me up my first 4000 footer (Adams) when I was 10 and I have been hooked since. My purpose for this blog is to share my love and passion for hiking and appreciating the trails and natural beauty of New England!

I began hiking with Scott, now my partner, in 2007 and began venturing to the non-presidential peaks. I have loved the many different mountains, my favorite thus far being the Sandwich Range. We are not out to see how many peaks we can bag or how fast we can hike a mountain. Rather we are out to enjoy ALL that IS hiking. We take our time to enjoy the hike and to take in all the surroundings! Whether that be a mountain top, a forest, pond, field, ledge or whatever. Each area has something to offer.

Scott and I took the Forest Society Land Steward Core Training in May of 2011 and are now Land Stewards of Moose Mountains Reservation in Middleton, NH! We have 2300 acres of woods roads, mountains and forests that we will be marking/building trails on, so you will be hearing a lot from this area! Hope to see you on the mountains!
